Fun Facts
The Forty Acre Wood is named after Winnie the Pooh's Hundred Acre Wood.
Why Pidget Fork? When our son was little and we would go on vacation to Pigeon Forge, he would say, "When are we going to be at Pidget Fork?" He thought that was the name of the town and we loved to hear him say it. I knew when we purchased the property, the wider creek would become "Pidget Fork Creek".
Each family member has a trail named after them: DJ's Drive, Wendy's Way, Loucille Lane, and Walker's Way. Our daughter's name is Addie, but we have always called her Loucille. If folks who know us are wondering why there is no "Addie Avenue"....we decided to go with "Loucille Ln" instead.
Our first time walking over the property, we found an empty turtle shell. We still have the shell and it is displayed in the Office.
White Coyote Point is named after an albino coyote we (I) saw at that spot in the woods one day while we were riding around on Muella, our Kawasaki Mule. DJ makes fun of me and says it was a white Husky, but I know what I saw and I am confident, therefore, it is White Coyote Point...and not White Husky Point.
The "Mule X-ing" signs are for Muella and Mammoth (our Kawasaki Mules).
